July 12, 2012: My right knee has swollen to twice its size. I can't walk. My right shoulder, elbow, and index finger still hurt. I can't sleep at night. Appointments have to be made at least 1 month in advance for my knee doctor. My general doctor hasn't guessed right on anything for a long time.

July 13: Found a new general doctor that would see me today. He said I had water on the knee and wanted to drain it and inject cortisone into it. I'm not sure what this might do to new cartilage growth. Called the stem cell therapy people and everyone agreed on oral steroids. I started methylprednisolone.

July 14: The swelling is down and the pain is bearable.
