Large Pinnacle Site

This site was located on top of a cliffed butte. There were 2 crevices accessing the top. 1 crevice was blocked by a wall. The other crevice led to a terrace area. There were 4 rooms on top. They were D-shaped with a wall across the top of a U.

Possible Anchorite

We're still working on the definition of anchorite sites.

Cliffed Sides with Habitations and No Outer Wall on Top

These sites are impractical for getting to and from fields that needed tending every day. They also provide no real defensive advantage for anyone living on top or in the area .

These sites are one step away from a promontory site that has one outer wall. They could have been converted to a retreat or attended shrine in the early Classic as the pottey suggests.
